Fraser Island
World's Largest Sand Island
Fraser Island, the world's largest sand island is located about 150 kilometres north of Brisbane. Access once on the island is by 4WD. Barges leave from Inskip Point near Rainbow Beach and land at Hook Point
With a couple of days off owing to me, I made plans to spend a couple of nights on Fraser, and was joined by my buddy Simon and his mate Jani, visiting from Germany.

Once off the barge we headed up the island via the beach to Eurong where we turned inland. The two way road lasted only a few metres and then it was back to the single lane. Some of the roads are one way which makes sense so as not to damage the flora of the island.
