Rover 3.5 Coupé

During my stay in London, England I worked for DHL Couriers. After work we would adjourn to a local pub. Always parked outside was a Rover 3.5 Coupé.

This is the 1971 Rover 3.5 Coupé

Whilst working in London during 1976, I used to vist the pub down the road from the office. This car was usually in the car park. One day I enquired of the barman as to who owned the car. He told me the publican did.

I made an offer to buy the car which was accepted!!

Also in the photgraph above is my 1973 Simca 1100 Van. I travelled around Europe in this vehicle twice as well as using it for courier work in London and Paris when I worked for DHL Couriers

The interior was well appointed with rear heater, courtesy lights and picnic tray.

Note the reading lights fitted to the adjustable headrests.

The Saloon version of this car was use by HM the Queen as her private transport.
