Travels on the Road Begin
At last on the road. Having picked up the van in Bayswater and towed it to Rowville then to Braybrook near the Flemington Raceway, have now headed to Warrnabool about 260 kilometres south west of Melbourne.
I decided to take this road and park up the caravan for a couple of nights. I will then travel the Great Ocean Road for a part of the distance.
I t was recommended by a number of people that a novice caravan owner should not travel The Great Ocean Road initially.
Drove to Warrnambool a rural town on the south western coast of Victoria.
Took a day trip on the Great Ocean Road as far as Apollo Bay and returned via Colac.
Having done the drive I am in agreement that to have taken the caravan on that section of road would have added to the fuel costs as it is very undulating and winding.
